Lake Cathie (pronounced “cat-eye”) sits just 11km south of Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast of NSW. This small coastal town has plenty to offer as a week-long escape. Empty surf breaks, beachside barbecues, fishing spots and hiking are just a few of the local activities available, with vineyards, breweries, seafood restuarants and many other attractions close at hand. The weather is enjoyable all year-round with a mild climate that reaches an average high of 26°C in summer and 19°C in winter.

Catch the swell: the local beaches of Lake Cathie make great surfing spots. Step out the front of your apartment for a quick dip. A short walk or drive will take you to down the road to Middle Rock for a more enclosed break.

Catch some Z's: In the mood to do nothing at all? Lounge around the pool. Read that book you've been meaning to. Have a nap in the sun. The time to relax is now — trust us.

Catch some fishies: Don't waste the opportunity to have a bit of a fish. With the beach and lake on the doorstop, you'll have many spots to choose from. Hot tip: check out where the locals head to find the best spot.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere: we are fortunate to be close to some incredible local wineries and breweries. If you're into beer, check out The Black Duck Brewery in Port Macquarie, a 10 minute drive away. Or if you're after a wine, Little Fish Winery has you covered.
